With cotton
Use a cotton pad to apply the wheat flour fertiliser to the orchids, just as you would to remove make-up. Dip the pad into the resulting liquid, wring it out gently and clean the leaves from both above and below, being careful and gentle.

This will remove insects and fungi that can attack the plants and cause dangerous diseases in orchids. In addition, these applications provide the plants with the nutrients they need to grow and develop, while at the same time increasing the splendour of their flowers.

Repeat the application after two weeks and you will see that the orchid’s leaves remain green and shiny.

With a spray bottle
Another way to use a wheat flour fertiliser is to transfer some of the solution into a spray bottle and spray it evenly on and under the leaves.

Be sure to apply the fertiliser to all areas to ensure that the entire plant receives the nutrients it needs for lush growth. The effect of this method is the same as using cotton, but it is more practical to carry out.

Watering the base of the plants
The third way to use the fertiliser obtained is to water the base of the orchids. Use a small jug to pour the liquid onto the soil around the base of the plant and you’re ready to go. To absorb the liquid better, immerse the pot in a container of fertiliser and leave it to work for an hour. Repeat the treatment every fortnight. Your orchids will bloom like crazy!
